We are coming back from this year’s KPR Craft of the Year gala in Poznań with two titles. The jury appreciated and awarded Amber Wheat and the Russian Imperial Stout from the Po Godzinach (After Hours) series.

This year’s Poznań Beer Fair was for us not only an opportunity to meet beer lovers and brewing enthusiasts, but also an occasion to celebrate. In the 12th Craft Beer Competition, 631 beers and meads competed for the Craft of the Year title in 49 categories. The competition is substantial, the emotions are high. Apart from the well-known Tomasz Kopyra, the jury included experienced judges from Poland, Germany, the USA, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Portugal and Panama. This international commission decided to award two titles to beers brewed by our excellent brewers: Roman Kotlewski and Paweł Kozica. The gold in the Hefeweizen category (10-15º Plato) went to Amber Wheat. Third place in the Imperial Stout / Porter (> 20º Plato) category went to the premiere of the beginning of this year: the Russian Imperial Stout from the Po Godzinach (After Hours) series.

These are the next winning titles of these beers in 2018. We have been brewing Amber Wheat since 2012, and RIS since January this year. We are extremely pleased that two such different styles, which had their premieres 6 years apart, are appreciated both by consumers and the jury of competitions.
